Jagr, who started his NHL career all the way back in 1990-91, has continued to defy logic, age, and sport, with his commitment to Kladno in the Czech Extraliga.
After leaving the NHL initially at the end of the 2007-08 season to join Omsk Avangard of the KHL, Jagr returned and spent parts of 7 seasons scattered around stints with the Philadelphia Flyers, Dallas Stars, Boston Bruins, New Jersey Devils, Florida Panthers, and Calgary Flames.
He made his way back to his native Czech Republic, where he played for the Kladno Knights, a team where he also became the eventual owner.
He hasn't missed a beat as he's played a part in every season since 2017-18 but just recently announced that 2024-25 would be the final year of his illustrious career.
Earlier today, Jagr added his first goal of the season and 2nd point in as many games for the Knights. He made a nifty spin-around move to get the shot on net before finishing off his own rebound.
The 52-year-old has been an absolute specimen throughout his lengthy career, posting 766 goals and 1,921 points in 1,733 games in the NHL. He is also a two-time Stanley Cup winner, five-time Art Ross champion, eight-time All-Star, Hart Trophy winner as well as a three-time Pearson winner.
