Habs winger sides with Rangers fan, doesn't believe Carey Price is the best goalie of his era
With the news dropping this week that Montreal Canadiens netminder Carey Price would not play the 2022-23 season, the conversation quickly went from "will he play?" to "will he ever play again?".
Price is without a doubt one of the top goalies of his era, but there are arguments that can be made that he wasn't the absolute top dog. Even teammate Jonathan Drouin seems to agree.
A Twitter post had surfaced from ESPN's Greg Wyshynski on Friday suggesting that the honour of best goalie over the last 15 years is without question Henrik Lundqvist. A Rangers fan quote tweeted Wyshynski's tweet and captioned it "Habs fans are big mad at the truth here."
Why is this relevant? Well, it's because of who liked the tweet. Drouin himself liked the Rangers fan's tweet.
Who knows if Drouin even read the tweet or properly understood what was being said? But I'm sure if you asked Carey Price who was the best of his era, even he might agree that Lundqvist was top of the food chain.
