Murray, who spent a total of 3 months on LTIR last season, is under contract for one more season with a cap hit of $4.68M, which the Leafs will likely try to find their way out of. Woll on the other hand, has done more than enough to at least earn the backup spot next season and if not, the Leafs will likely carry three goalies to begin the year as they will not want to risk losing Woll on waivers.
The Jets are likely going to be making major changes this off-season and if they choose to go for more of a rebuild, Hellebuyck could want out as he has stated that he wants to win. Hellebuyck has just one season remaining on his current deal that pays him $6.17M. At 30 years old, he still has a few good years left in him and if he becomes available, Seravalli mentioned that the Leafs could be a fit for him. Of course there would be a substantial package heading back to Winnipeg from whoever acquires him, but having a true number one goalie that can steal games, particularly in the playoffs, could help send the Leafs on a deep playoff run.
