He was a bit of a surprising selection in the 2022 draft at 38th overall, but since the Leafs selected him, Fraser Minten has put everyone on notice. Last season, Minten put up 31 goals and 36 assists in just 57 games for the Kamloops Blazers of the WHL and helped the Blazers reach the Memorial Cup.

"I don't think there's a specific area that's gotten a ton better," said Minten when asked about any improvements he's made at Leafs development camp this week. "I don't think I got a ton stronger or bigger. We played a lot of hockey this year so there wasn't much gym time. But I think with being on the ice so much, you get more comfortable skating, you just improve your skills, get more comfortable with little battles. So, I think I got better at just a bit of everything."

With Minten being a year older and a little bit bigger, he has also set some big goals for himself with Kamloops this season.

"Come here (Toronto) for training camp and have another good camp here. And then dominate the WHL next year, that's my goal. Go back and hopefully be a leader on my team, show everyone the ropes, and have a really good year there."

Minten has already been impressive through three days of development camp and will look to carry over his performance into training camp in September. If you're curious to see the Leafs prospects on the ice at development camp, the Maple Leafs will be streaming Saturday's camp-closing scrimmage game on their official website.
