NHL Awards show host delivers a shot below the belt to Auston Matthews and the Leafs before signing off

Auston Matthews had a banner night at the NHL Awards Ceremony on Tuesday, walking away with the Ted Lindsay Award and the Hart Trophy to go along with his second consecutive Rocket Richard Trophy.

Even though it was a night of celebration for Matthews and the Leafs, it didn't mean that they were safe from ridicule, and to end the night, they were caught in the line of fire in the form of a flaming arrow fired by host and comedian Kenan Thompson.

Hey - that's comedy. I get it. It's not difficult to poke fun at a franchise who hasn't won anything in over 50 years. In fact, I'm sure for some, it can be a lot of fun. Even still, people better get their shots in now, because this team is not as far away as everyone thinks they are.
