During an appearance on Spittin Chiclets this week, Conn Smythe Trophy winner Jonathan Marchessault was asked about Kessel. He revealed that everyone on the Golden Knights couldn't get enough of Kessel. His response even led to a funny conversation about Kessel's pre-game speech before Game 5 against the Florida Panthers - a game the Golden Knights won by a score of 9-3 to secure the organization's first Stanley Cup.
Kessel, who holds the NHL's iron man record at 1,064 games, may not be an everyday NHLer anymore at 35 years old, but after putting up 14 goals and 36 points in 82 games for the Golden Knights this season, he can certainly still help a team in need of some production from their bottom 6 this season. It will be interesting to see whether he remains in Vegas this summer or ends up elsewhere via free agency.
