The Legendary Joe Bowen's commentary on huge goals by Mitch Marner and William Nylander in last night's 7-4 win over Edmonton
The Leafs and Oilers played a Saturday Night Classic on Hockey Night in Canada last night. The game had everything: scoring from all the stars, some highlight reel saves and even some rough stuff thrown in for good measure. The Leafs scored 5 straight to erase a 3-1 deficit and win the game by a final score of 7-4, including 3 goals in 3 minutes. I'll admit to yelling so loud when Nylander scored the tying goal my one year old daughter nearly jumped out of her mother's lap. Sorry, sweetheart!
As always, we, as Leaf fans, were subjected to the injustice that is a TV broadcast without the iconic voice of Joe Bowen. Luckily, thanks to @LeafsJelly on Twitter, we are at least able to see and hear all the best moments with the Voice of the Maple Leafs on the mic.
Bowen's play calls on the goals by Mitch Marner and William Nylander were as great as you'd imagine and then some - especially his call on Nylander's goal.
