Huge update regarding the William Nylander situation on Wednesday morning. Toronto Maple Leafs general manager Kyle Dubas is in Switzerland to meet with William Nylander and his reps.The Leafs have looked fine without the young forward who wants to get paid as Kapenen has been playing beside Matthews. From all accounts both sides want a long term deal however Nylander is looking for around $8million a season while the Leafs are looking at $6million a season. The Maple Leafs currently have over $11 million in projected cap space for this season, per CapFriendly, but will face a significant squeeze beginning next year when the entry-level contracts of Auston Matthews and Mitch Marner expire.
