Earlier this morning TSN's Darren Dreger reported that Leafs forward William Nylander was no longer practicing with the Austrian hockey team. That along with Kyle Dubas meeting with Nylander's agent indicated the two were getting closer to a deal. Sportsnet confirms that's the case as the two parties are currently working on a bridge deal. The bridge deal will help keep both sides at least happy for now. Original reports were that both teams wanted a long term contract with Nylander wanting $8million a year while the Leafs were offering $6.5million. More details to come, but it looks like we should have a huge announcement soon.
