The Toronto Maple Leafs punched their ticket to the Stanley Cup playoffs after the Ottawa Senators beat the Florida Panthers in overtime Thursday night. This marks the first time that the Maple Leafs have made the postseason in consecutive seasons since 2003 and 2004. The Leafs mathematically still have a chance for either first or second place in the Atlantic Division, but realistically they will remain in third place. As of now, they will play the Tampa Bay Lightning in the first round, but that could change as they are only one point behind the Boston Bruins for the Atlantic lead. This will be the Maple Leafs lone trip to Brooklyn this year as these two team close out their regular season series. The Islanders will look to avoid the season series sweep after losing both games in Toronto earlier this year. Auston Matthews and Mitch Marner both have a pair of goals against New York this season. Frederik Andersen who starts tonight, has a .952 save percentage in his two wins over the Islanders this season. He's given up just three goals on 63 shots.
