"Toronto Maple Leafs general manager Kyle Dubas returned from his Europe trip without a contract signed by William Nylander. From all accounts the two parties are still very far apart on the contract numbers with Nylander still looking for around $8million a season while Dubas and the Leafs would prefer around $6million. Some insiders are saying the two sides might have to just settle on a bridge deal, however speculation regarding a trade continues to grow. Indications point towards a possible trade fit with the Nashville Predators. While PK Subban or Roman Josi would be on the top of many Leafs' fans list, Mattias Ekholm or Ryan Ellis would be the likely outcome. The Preds aren't looking like the offensive powerhouse that brought them to the Stanley Cup finals and could definitely use the help. Would you be willing to move Nylander for Ekholm or Ellis? "
