"I give him credit. It's a bit of a roll of the dice. You're going into an elimination game and you're basically going to roll out two new pairs and expect them to play well and it worked. Acknowledging that T.J. Brodie and Jake McCabe, as much as they wanted it to work it really hasn't clicked all season since McCabe came overthat's not being stubborn and some coaches are. Sheldon Keefe deserves credit for finding combinations that worked at least for one game, they have to do it for a few more now."
There were more than a few people that were questioning Keefe's lineup decisions ahead of Game 4, but thanks to Joseph Woll and what was probably the Leafs' best defensive effort of the season, they were able to force Game 5 tonight in Toronto. Leaf fans can only hope that they can duplicate the effort tonight to give us a little bit more hope, rather than failing to show up and crushing out spirits again.
There's a lot on the line tonight, and if Sheldon Keefe can avoid galaxy-braining his lineup and if he can continue to motivate his guys the right way in Game 5, we may just end up with a Game 6 and perhaps even a Game 7.
