During the vetting process, apparently nobody in the Bruins' organization had reached out to the family of Isaiah Meyer-Crothers, the boy whom Miller had tormented all through elementary school and straight through to high school. Had they done so, the signing very likely would not have occurred.
Meyer-Crothers reached out to the Hockey Diversity Alliance (HDA) this week to share just some of the trauma that he had gone through at the hands of Mitchell Miller. While much of the story has already been brought into the light, there are some details that were left out. Meyer-Crothers himself spoke to some of the heinous things that Miller had done to him over the years.
With all of the stories out there of Miller's attempted transformation, the allegations made by Meyer-Crothers that Miller has not changed at all are pretty serious. It's rather concerning that multiple NHL teams had pursued him as a free agent before he elected to sign in Boston. This is absolutely sickening and disheartening to hear and our hearts go out to Meyer-Crothers and his family.
