After dropping an embarrassing 6-3 loss to the New York Islanders on Saturday, the Leafs took a day off on Sunday to regroup and reset ahead of a Monday matchup against the Winnipeg Jets before their Christmas break will commence.
Two Maple Leafs in Max Domi and Ryan Reaves were feeling extra festive on Sunday and decided to pose for a holiday photo with Reaves decked out in a full Santa Claus costume, which the veteran winger shared to his personal Instagram account.
It wasn't just any run of the mill photo, however, as both Domi and Reaves took out their false teeth for this one, with Reaves using the caption "Chrithmathss" for the post, which already has over 17,000 likes and over 2,000 shares.
Reaves has been in and out of the lineup for the Leafs recently, as Craig Berube experiments with his bottom six to find the ideal blend for his 4th line.
Meanwhile, Domi has been on absolute fire of late, scoring in 3 of his last 4 games on one of hockey's hottest 3rd lines, along with Bobby McMann and Nick Robertson.
With Christmas officially 2 days away, the Leafs certainly appear to be feeling the Christmas spirit, giving the Islanders the gift of 2 points at Scotiabank Arena on Saturday, spotting them a 2-0 lead just 5 minutes into the contest.
Let's hope the team is feeling a whole lot less generous against Winnipeg on Monday night and that the Leafs can give their own fan base the gift of entering the break on a winning note against one of their Canadian rivals.
